Leonard: My Fifty-Year Friendship with a Remarkable Man
by William Shatner
emotional
funny
informative
reflective
medium-paced
Touching memoir of a lifelong friendship. Audiobook version is particularly great, with Bill Shatner doing the reading and giving it his trademark voice.
It's about Leonard, but also about Shatner. It's more like a Shatner memoir but with interspersed Nimoy stories, so maybe people's expectations would be met if the cover featured images of both of them? But the book is dedicated to Leonard and I think this was Shatner's way of asking forgiveness for a few decades of him being a little too much, and how that might have hurt Leonard. Either way, it's clear Shatner truly loved Leonard and admired him deeply.
