I have mixed thoughts, hence my rating. I love the way Rooney writes; the quick dialogue, complex characters, and plot lines where nothing yet everything happens. The characters in Intermezzo are complicated and, at times, insufferable. I went back and forth between rooting for them and hoping they would just shut up.

The first half I flew through and loved, likely because I was getting to know the characters. By the second half, I was pissed off at them all. Everyone should just break up TBH!!!!!
