Child soldiers manipulated into burning themselves out for someone else's war. This book is pretty messed up. Some folks will like it for that reason. It wasn't the light fantasy adventure I was hoping to read to relax. Feeling pretty stressed out. It's a good story and well written, just not what I was looking for this week.
