Celia is held captive by Edward on his island for a year.  During that time he only shows up every three months with no phone calls or communication.  He wants her completely broken down so he can build her back up the way he wants.  She's still an unlikable character & he's a creep.  Asking her how her first period felt when she was young & how she lost her virginity in their honesty "sessions" was creepy.  Both of them are manipulative and may or may not be gas lighting each other.  He wants to kill her and have his revenge and she revisits past traumas.  They still have sex with his clothes on and he eats her and screws her but she has no access to him.  He likes ownership and submission so it's a battle of wills.  I'll continue with the series because I'm reading the whole catalog.
