I reread this for the first time since high school. Loved it when I was 15, and loved it 6 years later. The Harry Potter comparisons are very valid- but it’s kind of the point. It’s clearly an ode to fanfiction and creating your own world using characters you love. I enjoy the plot but the romance is sooo good. I love how it’s written because it seems like the author is having fun. It’s a magical yet down to earth story about friendship, love, and loss. It feels like my own little world- and that could be due in part to how much I loved it in high school. But I would recommend this to anyone looking for an escape and a retelling of the stories you know!
