The story and audiobook were both really well done. The narrators brought these characters to life and the plot was interesting, but the writing easy to follow.

I really enjoyed getting to know the main couple and it was refreshing to see there not be a ton of misunderstandings and dancing around their feelings. The external factors keeping Ford and Millie apart made sense for the setting.

I will say, I had to be convinced that they were actually meant to be together after learning about their younger years. We never really got a clear explanation of why he dated Sienna in college when Millie was clearly the better choice. I wasn’t sure I fully bought the “she was my best friend but I didn’t know I was in love with her until she kissed me after I broke up with my girlfriend” thing, but guys in college can be dumb, so I guess I could talk myself into believing it.

Overall, it was fun enough for me to suspend my disbelief and still have a good time.
