The Chemist
by Stephenie Meyer
This book follows the life of a chemist on the run after situations have proved dangerous. After attempting one last job from her former employer in exchange for not being bothered anymore, she runs into more danger than she bargained for.
Although I was very pleased to read a book with a strong female lead with a focus on her intelligence, I wasn’t too impressed overall. It seemed as though the focus of the book shifted from the intelligence to the means with which she would go to achieve the ends. I would have loved to have more of a focus on the chemistry and how she had developed this intelligence. The books plot moved fluidly and always kept you guessing, making a good read.
