Incendiary by Zoraida Córdova

4.0

I really liked this book. Córdova’s writing style kept me on my toes, wondering what would happen next. The characters were diverse, almost all of them being POC, and I liked how Córdova incorporated a lot of her roots in the book, like how a lot of the world-building words were Spanish-based. The plot was amazing, and it kind of reminded me of Throne of Glass in a way, so if you liked that book, I’m sure you’d like this one. The plot twists, especially the one at the end, were ones that I didn’t see coming at all. The beginning of the book was a little slower but after about 50 pages, I got into it, and I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I can’t wait to read the second one.
