Filthy Rich Boys by C.M. Stunich
4.0

I want Marnye to run them into the ground and kick them off their pedestals so freaking bad!

So I just finished “Bad, Bad Blue Bloods”, the second book in this series. I know, why am I writing a review for the first book now? Well, I’ll tell you why — because I love the cover and it deserves a reaction. Without further ado, let’s begin.

Alright, imagine you’re in this scenario. You won the scholarship to attend one of the most elite private schools in the United States. On your first day, almost everyone seems to already know who you are and your tour guide ditches you after implying that you don’t belong there. A friendly face ends up helping you around campus and gives you the low-down of course the school’s social structure. This new friend then explains how the idols (the elites) are at the top of the food chain and they have set their sights on you (like a bounty, not ooh la la). What else is there to do except survive.

My Thoughts (TEASERS)

Honestly, these boys (Tristian, Creed and Zayd) were cruel for absolutely no reason at all. I’m not sure who takes the title for the worst though. Let’s break it down and see who committed the ultimate betrayal.

All 3 of them: Burned a rare copy of her favorite book, made a bet that they could make her fall in love with them and publicly humiliated her (included Carrie style theatrics), videotaped private moments that should NOT have been videotaped, betrayed her trust.

Tristian: I don’t know, he did do stuff though.

Creed: Read her scholarship essay to the cafeteria (I wanted to punch Creed when he did that.), had a bunch of people report her for drinking (even though she never took a sip), he was also bullied in middle school (which makes it even worse to know he went through it and is putting someone else through it too).

Zayd: Took Marnye to the dance and next day he showed his true colors.

Honestly, reading her essay aloud was one of the worst things someone could do, so Creed is definitely at the top. Then again, they were all pretty bad, so let’s just call it equal.

What Bothered Me

The fact that they were supposed to be freshman in high school made me want to laugh. These guys did not act like freshman AT. ALL. No way. I think it would have made more sense for them to be in their junior year with how they behaved. I honestly can’t see high school freshman boys action like these Idols.

Also, it seems rather far fetched for all these students to automatically hate this one girl because she received a scholarship?! I don’t know, maybe that’s groupthink/mob mindset working it’s magic. Who knows.

My Recommendation

Try this out if you like reverse harem, enemies to friends to enemies, private boarding school, rich jerks and cruel and unusual treatment.
