A Court of Wings and Ruin by Sarah J. Maas

5.0

Okay. First of all, I am a romantasy newb. How I landed here I am unsure but not mad at it and increasingly all about it. Secondly, while I gave this book 5 stars it was not without its (long and seemingly unending) lulls. Something about world building I think? I’m unsure but it definitely dragged in the middle third. But I couldn’t put it down by the last couple hundred pages. Btw since when do I enjoy books about war? Seriously, someone explain what magic Sarah J. Maas is working on me! I don’t even think I said that right but who cares. I am now into romantasy books. Like, so invested in these characters and their world. I CRIED at one point. I’m simultaneously perplexed and obsessed. Gimme the next one soon please, Libby!
*please note it took me almost a month to get through this book. I’m not a fast reader and typically only read about an hour at night before bed but man these books are loooong.
