Eli and the mystery of the Hallowshine dragon by Eve Cabanel

4.0

Thanks to the author for providing me with a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

The first thing that I noticed are the beautiful illustrations. It is definitely what I like and it feels like artwork to me.
I was also happy to find a map in the front of the book. I can appreciate a book with a map.

I did feel, when reading, that the writing doesn't really match the magical drawings. I would've loved for a more poetic way of writing. I did get that feeling when we met the dragon. The way the dragon talks was really beautiful and matched the drawings.

When reading the back of the book I felt like it maybe gives away too much. Almost every aspect of the story is already told in the synopsis, I'm not sure if I would make the same choice

My favorite part of this book is that it's a sort of adventure, that's why we need the map! Definitely a fun book and I also felt like it wasn't too short or too long, but exactly the right length.
