The fact that she has still not been acquitted for that sham of a trial where she got railroaded at every turn is absolutely ridiculous and on par with the u.s. government. 
I won’t comment on her life because it’s an autobiography but her writing was wonderful. I really enjoyed that she alternated between different points in growing up and while standing trial after trial. After reading this I am further disgusted by many factors that make up the u.s. government. I knew it was happening but to read such graphic depictions really made me incredibly sad and also sick. 
We still have a ways to go, but I’m glad we have leaders and people like Assata who have paved a way
