Raising Steam by Terry Pratchett
5.0
A must read for Pratchett fans
As a long-time reader of Terry Pratchett’s novels, I was looking forward to getting started on Raising Steam. I expected droll humour, colourful characters, and the trademark footnotes…
…and I wasn’t disappointed. Raising Steam is a longer read then most of the Pratchett novels I’ve enjoyed but it was absolutely worth the page-age.
Returning to familiar characters – Moist Von Lipwig, Adora Belle Dearheart, and Lord Vetinari – but introducing a whole host of new faces too, Raising Steam is a masterpiece in world-building. It was wonderful to return to Ankh Morpork and the Watch too.
All in all, a marvellous read for fans of fantasy.
