this is my first review, so it might be a little messy. at first, the book was a bit confusing because i had no idea what to expect—i bought it without knowing anything about it, so i was going in blind. it has a lot of shakespeare references, which didn’t really help with my confusion since i don’t know much about him (it was never something i had to learn in school).
even though it was a little complicated at first and i had to push myself to pick it up a few times, the last 40 percent of the book was absolutely fascinating. i was really curious to see what would happen next. i don’t regret reading it at all, and i can definitely see myself picking it up again in the future.
i finished it a few hours ago, and even though i really want to start another book right now, i feel like doing that wouldn’t do this one justice. i might wait a day or two to sort through all my thoughts and feelings, because i did cry a little at the end.
it was good, and it’s unlike anything i’ve read before. i’m just starting to get into this kind of book, so i might change my opinion later, but right now—i really liked it.
