The United States of Cryptids: A Tour of American Myths and Monsters by J.W. Ocker

3.0

An entertaining read - or listen, in my case - and a good overview of many different legends, myths, stories and hoaxes in the cryptid world. It just didn't quite have enough meat for my tastes, with only a short chapter for each, but would serve as a very good entry point for someone wanting to learn more about this world.

I don't know if the quips at the end of each chapter would both me if I was reading the book, but a combination of those and the narrator reading them did start to grate on me a little. It in no way outweighs the impressive research and information shared in the book, but I can't pretend it didn't get to me slightly.
