Did I read this SPECIFICALLY because Emily Henry gave it a 5-star review on Goodreads? Yes. Yes, I absolutely did.
Things that I didn’t love about this book:
The beginning was really slow, so it took me a while to get hooked. I very nearly gave up.
Things I enjoyed:
This is not a cheesy rom-com book. This book has some depth to it. I also really appreciated that it wasn’t predictable. It *really* did not play out like I had originally anticipated.
All that having been said- Death/loss is a major plot point in this story. Major plot point. So much more than any romantic relationship. If I were to recommend this to anyone, it would be with a huge caveat. Unexpectedly losing someone in their thirties can, unfortunately, hit too close to home for many of us.
