The Greek Escape by Karen Swan
2.0
I want to start by saying I’ve listened to several of Karen Swan’s books previously and have really enjoyed them. I selected this one because it fit with my reading challenge to read a book with a place name in the title.
Firstly, the title is a little misleading as very little of the story actually takes place in Greece.
The protagonist, Chloe, isn’t especially likeable and none of the characters are particularly interesting. I just didn’t care what happened to any of them.
I struggled through this one to tick it off my challenge but I was left sorely disappointed. I’m just glad this wasn’t my first foray into the author’s work or I wouldn’t bother with another and would have missed out on some great stories.
This might be one to miss.
