This is truly a YA novel, so older more experienced readers may feel it is sluggish in its attempt to explain basic Criminal Minds terminology. The twist was interesting but rushed. The romance read as desperate and also haphazardly thrown in. I was interested in the concept and hope that now that there is some baseline the books will improve.
