Cards on the Table

The general concept of this story was fascinating!
The plot was paced really well- so much so I finished it in less than a day I was gripped from the beginning. I loved and screamed at myself because of the various misdirects and red herrings towards the end. They were beautifully done and my jaw honestly dropped. I don't think this is by far the best of the Hercule Poirot stories I have read but it is definitely up there with them.

Spoiler
Poirot, along with three others (including Ariadne Oliver who is a real character also featured in other stories!), were invited to have dinner with four murderers who had gotten away with it and the party host ends up dead. It was so clever blending past murders with the party host's murder in the present. The plot was paced really well- so much so I finished it in less than a day I was gripped from the beginning.
