Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix by J.K. Rowling

5.0

I can really kick myself for waiting as long as I did to read this series!

Rowling has done an amazing job yet again as we find Harry and Co. back for their 5th year at Hogwarts and this one is full of more intrigue, backstory, emotion, ideas, and movement that it reminded me of a long-standing game of chess.

A lot more dialogue happens in this book and I was forewarned about it, but honestly, I loved it. The dialogue and conversations between the characters are a combination of small moments to bomb dropping events, which I can only assume Rowling wrote in order to enhance the next two volumes.

While there were definite moments where I wanted to strangle each and every character for something or other, I found I truly enjoyed this one and am needing to read the next one as soon as possible.
