This book lived up to the hype!
I really enjoyed this book! It was a nice, quick read with memorable characters. I really liked the fantasy aspects and what I got to learn about latinx culture. It was also well paced and the characters were super lovable. I got really invested in Julian's friend group; I would've loved to learn more about them! The ending/climax felt a little too rushed for me, like too many things were happening at once, and I wasn't a super big fan of the casual writing style, but that's just me. Other than that, this book was amazing! Hoping for a sequel.
