Tropes // age gap (27 & 40), bdsm club, virgin

I was shocked that I didn’t like this. As much as I thought I would. I thought the dialogue was cheesy and corny at times the spice was OK but I could’ve done without him calling her little one. Like every other sentence it was a little annoying. I would say this is a long book. It was 400 pages with only 18 chapters so every chapter was about 20 minutes long but it seemed like nothing happened at all. I just felt like we were missing something. We see the beginning of their relationship and she’s nervous and then all of a sudden they just connect but I don’t know where that connection came from because I didn’t see it.

TW (there could be more this is just what I found) // abusive parents, poverty, homophobic slur (from customer), use of honorific, blackmail, flogging, mention of past gang rāpe (not fmc), physical/mental/verbal abuse from parent
