Hart's Ridge by Kay Bratt

5.0

I am a huge fan of Kay Bratt and have loved all of her books. I was so excited when I found out that she was starting a new series—a step outside her usual type of work—and I knew she would totally nail it. She just writes good stories. Period.

I absolutely loved Hart's Ridge and the character of Taylor Gray. She is respectable officer of the law who has to work hard for the respect and loyalty of her fellow officers. She had a tough life growing up and life hasn't gotten any easier for her as the lone female law enforcer in a small mountain community.

When a young girl is found wandering alone in her community, she takes personal responsibility to make sure this child is safe and returned to her family. But when someone from her past enters the investigation, things are suddenly out of her control.

Hart's Ridge is the perfect first book in what I know is going to be a wonderful, exciting series. I can't wait for the next installment. Highly recommend!
