Any classic monster fan will absolutely need to read this book. But at the same time, as purely a science fiction/horror novel, it can stand on its own as a great story of love, self discovery, identity, and transformation among the stars. There are both laugh and cry out loud moments throughout the story, and the Demeter's journeys will live on within you long after the last page.
