5.0

Fi has never fully known where she fits in. She thought she thought she fit with Robyn, her best friend and his friends but that now doesn't seem to be the case. Since Robyn made his debut as Mae B. The drag community seems to be under attack in Dublin, at least that's what Fi thinks after finding Eve  murdered. Fi is left between knowing what she believes to be true and not losing the people that she thinks of as family. What will she do when she is the only one seeing murder and everyone else thinks it's an accident?

I knew I was going to love this book and I'm so glad my thoughts were right! I could not put it down. From the intro to the last page I couldn't get enough! I really wanted to read this book in March because it is set in Dublin and I thought it would be perfect for St Patrick's Day!

Fi, the FMC, was incredible! She stuck to her guns even when it meant she could lose everything that she held most dear. She was unwilling/unable to go with the story that was being fed to her because she didn't agree with it.  She progressed and grew throughout and I adored how strongly she loved the people she felt were hers.

I cannot state enough how much I loved that the setting of this book is primarily at a drag club. I have read many mystery books and none of them have had this setting and I wish more did. Every character that was introduced through the club was amazing. The sense of family and community that was communicated through the club was incredibly heartwarming and could be felt.

This was a medium to fast pace book. I didn't feel that there were any parts that dragged. I was kept guessing right until everything was revealed, this is not something that always happens but I sure do love it when it does. The chapters varied in length and I found myself always thinking just one more chapter. If you love mysteries and drag shows you should definitely check this book out!
