Son
by Lois Lowry
This book was fantastic. I loved Claire and seeing the giver in a different p.o.v. She was a birth mother that had her child taken away from her just for people to say they were going to kill him. Their society was so interesting to me. Then when she left I was a little thrown off and I didn’t like it as much until I loved it. She trained to go find her son, she sold her youth, then watched him from afar for years. It was such a sweet story. Especially when Gabe saved her. I loved how everything wrapped together and the characters came back. I don’t think everything was explained but I didn’t mind. Also the only thing I didn’t like was the book ended to early. We didn’t get to see Claire and Gabe unite which really upset me. Otherwise I loved the story from beginning to end. It was about a mother who wanted more then anything to see her son grow up. It was so heartwarming.
