Winnie-the-Pooh by A.A. Milne

4.0

Winnie-the-Pooh is a big part of both my childhood and adulthood. My dad (in his Yorkshire voice) does a great reading of them, with a different voice for each character and with so much humour, and so these characters have a life of their own in our family and I can't hear them in any voice now but my dad's.

The characters are all adorable and funny and (ahem) humble... The Capitalisation of Certain Words, and the interrupting Dialogue Tags, add to the humour. Incidents are not told in a direct, dull way but in a humorous, fond way that makes it so fun to read. There are so many amusing one-liners.

I have given this one 4 stars because from what I recall, The House at Pooh Corner has the better stories.
