Book Lovers by Emily Henry

5.0

Emily Henry strikes the perfect balance with a story that has so much humor but also tells an emotional story of characters that have depth. The premise was such a fun and fresh look at the stereotypical Hallmark movie trope - MC goes to a small town and leaves their big city life (and type-A, tightly wound girlfriend) for a simpler life with the sweet girl-next-door. Nora, the protagonist in Book Lovers, is that tightly wound, big-city girlfriend who gets dumped for the nice girl every time. I really enjoyed getting to know her and Charlie and seeing how their story unfolds. True to its name, this book is for Book Lovers! Nora is a literary agent and Charlie is an editor. Even the plot takes place in a town from a book within this book. Did I even mention the sister relationship!? We love to see it. I highly highly recommend this book. Emily Henry will break your heart then put it back together every time.
