Vaughn King… to say this guy rules over Hillcrest University is an understatement. What he says is law and everyone knows not to go against what Vaughn decrees. If so they may find themselves on thin ice… or just you know on ice. 😏

Then we have Reese… unsure as to why she’s been accepted into the university and still grieving the loss of the person she loved most in the world. She just wants to keep her head down and go to class. When she catches the eye of Vaughn King in the middle of campus though that plan shatters. Between being the focus of all of his anger and attention and that familiar face of his she can’t stop thinking about the pull she has to him. She hasn’t felt this kind of connection to anyone since she lost Andrew but she can’t deny there is something between them.

Cue the tension! Vaughn acts like just seeing Reese’s face or hearing her name enrages him yet he can’t stay away from her. There’s nowhere she can hide that he won’t be watching her. And before long he can’t keep his hands to himself. The more he torments her the more he discovers about her and her past as well as his reason for terrorizing her.

It’s not all awful though because he absolutely makes sure to throw a little pleasure in with the pain. The spice… yea it’s as good as you’d expect from these two authors. Vaughn and his unhinged ways just make it even hotter.
There’s also an appearance by another couple that I can’t wait to see more of and I love the roles their characters played in this story.

Another great read from Rory and Tate. I can honestly say there’s nothing they could write that I won’t read.
