an absolute joy to read cover to cover. with or without the nostalgia and love of the film, this is a gorgeous story with well fleshed out and lovable characters all around, easy humour & a lovely setting. howl himself has 10 times more depth to him than i expected, making him both more annoying & much more lovable. sophie & howl’s dynamic is the og enemies (they bicker) to lovers (they always choose each other). the plot is brilliantly complex, surprising & wraps up so perfectly by the end. one of the most enjoyable reads in a long long time
