missposabule 's review for:
The Last Human
by Zack Jordan
I really enjoyed the first third of this book, though afterward, I think the story lost steam. There were several moments in the second half of the book where I forgot what I was listening to or what the problems were. In all honesty, I'm still not sure I understand why it was such a big deal that Sarya was a human because I didn't understand what the humans had done wrong in the first place (I think the conflict was that they didn't want to join Network, but I wouldn't bet money on it).
If Zack Jordan were to rewrite this book so it was all stories about a terrifying beetle monster raising a cute human child, then I'd be way more down to read that.
