I really enjoy revisiting Kingsbridge in all the different time periods that the Pillars of the Earth series presents. Follett is definitely coasting on his established formula with this book - the writing seems somewhat less skillful and the story/characters are less complex and somewhat repetitive of those in the other books - but it is a satisfying read as part of the series.
