Elizabeth & Margaret: The Intimate World of the Windsor Sisters by Andrew Morton

4.0

I chose this book to host for book club primarily because I wanted to host High Tea but admit I devoured the book too. I’m always amazed by the high level of drama and no need to fictionalize a nonfiction account of the Royals. Maybe most shocking for me was Margaret’s husband Tony had fathered his best friend’s child months before his wedding to Margaret. Also was thinking of the dynamic of the “black sheep” in a family and how Margaret enjoyed that title for much of her adventurous youth, but when the young Diana and Fergie came in to steal that title she kind of became righteously indignant.
