The Assassin's Blade
by Sarah J. Maas
Book 14?/12 for 2024, rating 4/5
I can’t believe I totally forgot to log this when I read it, I chose to read this fourth? I think, god my memory is just a whole mess bc I’m pretty sure I read this during or right before finals week. Super proud of how many books I’ve read so far this year, and I can’t wait to finish out this series and get into some more.
Anyway, omg Sam my beloved, I was wondering when he would be able to shine, and shine he did. I think my favorite thing about going into this book is that I already had a soft spot for Sam because of his ghost on other books, but these two together is a true twisted teen romance that I can’t get enough of. I’m def glad I read it later into the series because I’m not sure if I would’ve loved it the way that I did if I read it first. And along with the ghost of Sam in the other books, I also love that there are so many connections of all of the stories in the other books. I’m a huge fan of interconnectedness between books in series especially when it seems to be well thought out, and this one lacks nothing and keeps my attention consistently. Very excited to get into the next books!!
