This is simply one of the most outstanding novels I have ever read. Seriously, Top 10. Tommy Orange...my God, what a talent. Complex narrative mixed with raw, hard-driving, and devastatingly honest dialogue. His characters lived and breathed in the room with me, carving their converging realities indelibly into my skin. I cannot recommend There There highly enough. If you were moved by O'Brien's The Things They Carried, enjoyed the complex postmodern narrative structure of Egan's Goon Squad, and swooned over the lyricism of All the Light We Cannot See, jump on this.
