another excellent story of Shea's
I don't all that often like other authors' sequels or prequels to Lovecraft's, Howard's, or others' weird/cosmic horror stories, but Shea was a master and handled this one well. It isn't in his top-tier of work, but it's solid and like most of his stuff, better than most others'. -- It's an excellent and rapid read and well worth the time. 8/10
