Legendary

I really want to like this more than I actually do. The world is whimsical and confusing in that same Caraval way and you’re never quite sure what’s real and what isn’t — which I get is the point — but it makes it hard for me to stay invested…
And then there’s Tella. She’s meant to be bold and different, but mostly she comes off as insufferable, constantly lying, assuming Scarlett will just forgive her, and loudly insisting she doesn’t care about love while reminding us of that fact every other page 🙄. It’s peak #notliketheothergirls energy.
Between the endless miscommunication, the lies, and Tella being her own biggest problem, I found myself more frustrated than enchanted. I want to fall in love with this series — But right now it feels like I’m trying to convince myself I’m enjoying it more than I actually am.
