I tried really hard at this one. My book club all wanted to read the same book together and this is the one they selected. I had a very difficult time with the myriad of characters in the story, especially since some of them had first names AND Miss [Last Name]s. I also had a very difficult time caring about all the rules of this society. Elizabeth HAS to agree to two dances with Mr Collins because if she doesn’t she can’t dance with anyone else? That’s stupid, fuck off with that…Miss Bingley is appalled that Elizabeth walked to her house and got her dress muddy? Come on…I just did not have the patience for this, so I read the spark notes to see what happened the rest of the way.
