Here are some of the elements I noticed on this second read: impeccable pacing, the constant juxtaposition of District 12 and the Capitol via flashback, this feeling that was new when the book came out that somebody is always watching and filming every moment of everyone’s life, the enigmatic romance, and unreliable arena gamesmaker narrators with a totally reliable narrator at the center.
