One of the most impressive things about Atwood is that even when her books are long, I always tear through them. This one was another long jaunt, but very little was wasted. I enjoyed the twisting plot and Iris’ journey. My only real issue was with the novel within a novel - I found some parts of it weren’t as effective. While I liked the use of Planet Zycron as a mirror of what was happening in the world, I found that sometimes too many pages were dedicated to descriptions of the planet. However, other than that I really liked how this book was executed.
