Gideon the Ninth by Tamsyn Muir

read on audiobook
this slapped! love my himbo necromancer girlfriend gideon nav. very elaborate and pretty prose. i was a bit confused for a few chapters or so when gideon and harrow first arrive at the main setting of the novel; the huge cast is introduced in rapid succession and it was difficult to parse out who was who, especially in audiobook format where i couldn't refer to the cast list. but other than that i loved everything else! can't wait to get to the next book.
