2.5 stars, I liked it but it wasn’t my favorite. The premise is interesting, and I did enjoy R.F. Kuangs writing a lot. But… it just didn’t get to me enough. It felt like there was so much set up for her finally devolving into madness, but not enough of the devolving into madness. She was an awful character, as she was supposed to be. But I wanted more from her… idk… Still really excited to read more by Kuang, but this wasn’t it for me.
