🧠 Full Review:
This book picks up right where Blood Bonds left us reeling —
Sage slitting a Shield’s throat and letting the Resistance into the sanctuary
— and the chaos hasn’t slowed down since. We’re treated to more dual POVs (love), bonding progress, and a deeper look into the mysterious “bonds” that seem to have minds of their own.

Gabe and Nox finally bond with Oli
(thank you!), and their dynamics are as chaotic as ever. The revelations about void bonds being separate entities from the humans is honestly wild — and a bit hard to wrap your head around. But it tracks, considering how often Oli’s bond completely takes over.

The fight scenes are intense, Gabe’s dragon shift? ICONIC. And that ending—Nox’s refusal, the death, the devastation. I’m not OK.

There’s so much power play and trauma layered in here that it’s no surprise this series keeps punching you in the feelings. And Oli? Still my queen, even if her bond is feeling dangerously OP right now. But I get it — this book is peak escalation in a six-book series. We’re nearly there.
