Devoured! This was so freaking good!!! This is a dark gritty worlds filled with a caste system that divides those with magic to those without and those without really go without. I loved how this story starts with our FMC as a young girl and we get to see her fate unfold and the author handled the time jumps really well. The story really picks up in the last 50% and i was biting my nails with the secrets and twists unfolding! The writing is really beautiful and the connection between these characters! I really felt pulled into this world. And let's talk about Patrick- damn this man melted my heart! I loved the Peaky Blinders vibes and the way this community comes together to fight! I was on the edge of my seat - that ending!!! Gah cant wait for book 2! This felt like the perfect blend of Fantasy and Romance to me!! Will be a fav read of the year!
