smadronia 's review for:
The Queen's Army
by Marissa Meyer
This is, at it's core, an origins story more than anything, and I like origin stories. Z is a young boy, hand picked for the Queen's Army, and changed to become more wolflike. Once he's changed, he has to find his place within his pack, and life his life.
There's a lot of character development within this story, not just for Z, but for other characters that later show up in Scarlet. I think you could read this alone, and enjoy it, or read Scarlet without it, however I felt it added to Scarlet, knowing more about these characters.
