A Grief Observed by C.S. Lewis

challenging emotional hopeful reflective medium-paced

4.5

Such a good book on grief. Lewis writes on grief as a committed Christian who is still angry at God and questions his faith, giving space to all who are grieving and feeling all the same feelings. Lewis wrote this book after the death of his wife and his grief is raw and his feelings are open. This is such an honest and forthright reflection on the issues of life, death, and faith in the midst of loss. It is particularly amazing that a Christian as focused and thoughtful and stalwart as Lewis can lose his sense of being and faith and reflect on how he can regain it in the face of terrible loss.
