Chains by Laurie Halse Anderson
4.0
It's been awhile since I've read a book historical novel. [b:Chains|30248|Narcissus in Chains (Anita Blake, Vampire Hunter, #10)|Laurell K. Hamilton|https://d202m5krfqbpi5.cloudfront.net/books/1329665046s/30248.jpg|2644676] is a nice, easy read.
My main complaint was that, though it is set during the Revolutionary War, I didn't feel like I was in the 18th century. I'm not sure why that is.
I also didn't feel the friendship between Isabel and Curzon. It wasn't believeable to me.
Other than that this novel is a good representation of how many slaves were treated throughout history.
