Valiant Ladies by Melissa Grey
3.0
I’m all for badass sword wielding ladies but this seemed a bit underdeveloped
The setting was great, and the imagery was top notch. I can see the orange orchards stretching out and the atmospheric vibes are *chefs kiss*
The main characters POV were so similar that it may as well have been one perspective. The switch never felt flawless and I found myself having to recheck who’s head I was in. I wish they had more differing voices
There was some heavy handholding in few places (sections like this to clarify the characters thoughts) which was unnecessary.
Also instances where time passed weird. You get in a carriage, exchange a couple lines of dialogue and are there. Just walk?
