first half was pretty good, then it went downhill from there. ben and severin just felt so instalove-y and icky. for some reason, i didn’t like ben (or severin). i didn’t feel a connection to any of the characters, really. that’s probably just a me problem, though, because i love love love faerieland. i missed jude and cardan for the entire book and couldn’t help but wish they were in it. i know hazel is the og human fae knight, but jude was just an altogether better character. i found myself wishing for this book to end, and dreading picking it back up. however, im glad it gave us a little bit of background in one of the minor characters from the cruel prince.
