Excellent book by Kate Mosse set during the Huguenot Catholic war of religion in France during the 16th century. A week or so ago, at the Manchester Literature Festival, I had the chance to listen to Kate Mosse talking about The Burning Chambers and how she found the idea of writing it whilst in South Africa. It is the first part of a quartet and I can't wait to read the next chapter. Sadly, it is not due for release until the spring of 2020.
